in reply to: Shalom from South Carolina #11305Thanks for sharing Tony. It is always interesting to hear the opinions of others and their background story.
in reply to: Seeking Those from An Orthodox Background #10877No there isn’t as far as I know. There are Havurot which are Hebrew Catholic prayer and study groups.
in reply to: Have been away. Want to reconncect #10574Will pray for you and your husband. yes i offer up my pain (back and leg pain) for all and in the name of all in divine Will. Much reparation is needed for the Church and the world at this time.
Hi Eamon Roche,
Ishmael and Abraham’s servants became under Abraham’s covenant through circumcision. However they didn’t pass on this faith to their descendants as Isaac did. Nor did Esau pass it on to his descendants. One should not equate biologically descended Ishmaelites with the Arabs or Muslims but they are Ishmaelites through them adopting Ishmael as their spiritual father and thus like him they spiritually enter the Covenant with Abraham. Just my opinion and I think this is a topic open to theological speculation.

in reply to: Have been away. Want to reconncect #10571Hi Ev,
So glad you let us know as I was wondering what happened to you. It has been an eventful time the last few years. Great to hear from you and that you are still alive and kicking.

in reply to: Seeking Those from An Orthodox Background #10570Just read all the comments here David. I was impressed that people were willing to help Binyamin but it seemed he wasn’t really open to that at this stage, so i suggest we pray for him. It can be a struggle to fit in and it can at times feel lonely but one needs to start to create community around them and starting a Havurah is a great way to do that even if at first there are only one or two others that get involved. I wrote this on marginalisation. see https://aronbengilad.blogspot.com/2010/06/marginalisation-of-torah-observant.html
in reply to: Shalom from South Carolina #10568Welcome Patti,
Lovely to hear from you. It would be wonderful if you could start or participate in an AHC Havurah.

in reply to: Shalom from South Carolina #10567Welcome David DeLong,
Thanks for sharing some of your spiritual journey. No you do not have to only buy Messianic Siddurs etc, it is perfectly ok to buy the traditional Orthodox Jewish ones.It is your intention that is Messianic. In fact I have never bought any Messianic Jewish Siddurim as they have been adapted for people who are usually protestant evangelical or charismatics in their theology. I prefer to use orthodox Jewish resources and use them with a Hebrew Catholic intention which is Messianic, Eucharistic, Marian and Josephine etc.
cheers br Gilbert Joseph
