Shekhinah is the Dwelling presence of God in the feminine. One could say that when Our Lady in Eternity is united with her spouse the Holy Spirit and manifests on earth it is as the Shekhinah. (when the face upon the waters (Our Lady) is hovered over by the Spirit of God in Genesis 1). Or when Jesus is united with the Holy Spirit they Shekhen or Shokhen (in the masculine). One could say that the Holy spirit is the uncreated Shekinah and Our Lady is the created Shekhinah who in a sense is united and present in all the great women of God in both the Old and New Covenant periods. Jesus in his humanity and St Joseph are the male created Shekhens and Jesus in his Divinity is the uncreated Shekhen.
